We are Looking for Therapists to Join our Team
After several years of working in the NHS, I decided I would like to begin seeing clients on a private basis. I would have never stated that I was setting up my own private practice, but essentially that was what I was doing.
I think I thought that because I had decided to see clients on a private basis, it would simply just happen. Unsurprisingly, I discovered that I needed to be a lot more proactive than that.
Fifteen years later I have a successful private practice, which I find enjoyable, challenging, satisfying and rewarding. In the time from initially building up the practice to it being a full time successful venture, I learnt an endless amount. It would have been great if there had been someone who could have given me some guidance. The savings would have been time, finance and frustration.
If you would like to set up your own private client base, then I have a wealth of information that will help you achieve this.
Topics covered can range from:
1) What you will need – premises, equipment, paperwork etc.
2) How to gain clients – website, advertising, social media, networking, building relationships etc.
3) Satisfying your professional responsibilities – insurance, clinical supervision, memberships, data protection etc.
4) Pricing and taking payments – banking, tax, Pay Pal, etc.
